Hundreds took part in the I Nuri march at the St. Sebastian Festival on Washington Street Sunday. The 96th Feast of St. Sebastian was celebrated in Middletown at the Roman Catholic Church on Washington Street. In Melilli, Sicily, Middletown's sister city, the patron saint has been feted for more than 600 years. The running of the I Nuri, or the devoted, takes place after Sunday Mass every year - participants, barefoot and dressed in white with red sashes and carrying carnations, make their way to the church from two locations - the cemetery on Route 66 in Middlefield and the Italian Society on Court Street.
